I think I like the UNDER. Detroit has strong tendencies in the ATS Matchups section in this position.
Look at the overall scoring, both of these teams are bottom 10 in scoring.
While Detroits defense is mid-tier, Seattle's is pretty much league elite.
So we have 2 teams that can't score.
And we have 1 team that has impeccable defense.
And we have 1 team that is better than average in GA.
Has UNDER written all over it.
What do you think TMCG?
Under The Total for tonight's game, 1/2 a unit?

When DETROIT LIONS team played as a Road team - Total is between 41.5 to 44 - Coming off back to back SU loss - Allowed 22 - 28 AGAINST in their last game: The OVER is 8-2-0 for the Lions.

Yowza! That's a great stat Ronny. I'll have to take pause on this bet for the moment. Hopefully tmcg will weigh in with some more insight on the matter.
Not so sure about this pick anymore...

Why fight the Database. I really don't like this game that much. After going 5-1-1 this past weekend I decided to risk 1 unit on the over 43. No Lynch and I could see both these teams going all out tonight. I would not touch the side and I think over is the play tonight.

When DET played during week 4 since 1996 with a total of 43 they are 8-5-0 towards the over.
When SEA played during week 4 since 1996 with a total of 43 they are a perfect 12-0-0 towards the over!
As the database indicates there are plenty of good reasons to take the under 43 tonight. But I will stick to the over tonight.
When DET and SEA play each other with a total of 43 since 1996 they are 4-1-0 to the over.

That game was terrible. Sniper had it right in his first post. I could not even watch the end of that game, which was the end of the first qtr. lol. Good bye unit. The books will keep you safe until I can win you back.

I think if those teams were mid-scoring and mid defense, that would have gone WAY over the total.
Morale of the story? Stat trends are absolutely necessary, but they don't always go all the way.
Hesitate to bet the spread with teams that are on a cooler, or vs teams on a heater. Hesitate to bet Over/Under on teams with respective strong/weak Off/Def that don't support the trends.

I like the shout box. Kinda cool. What is up with the database. It takes forever to log in and then every catatgory takes another 3 mins to load. I might have tonight's game handicapped by mid day tomorrow. lol. lol.

Apologies McGrath! It's possible that I was refreshing the database at that moment.
And YEAH! That shout box is super cool.
It's a little bit out of the way, but it was either down there or right at the very top.
That said, it looks like it's on every page so you can live chat while you're perusing the forums.
