MLB SOS:
MIA -115
WSH -113
BAL +116
NYM -144
BOS +108
MIN +132
SDP -101
MLB Sniper:
MIA (SOS + Forecast + PVI)
WSH (SOS + Stars)
BAL (SOS + Forecast)
NYM (SOS + Stars)
BOS (SOS + Stars)
MIN (SOS + Forecast + PVI)
PIT (PVI + Stars)
SEA (PVI + Stars)
-PVI + Stars are 4-1 so far coming out of preseason.
Don’t know what to start with. I’ll do a 1/4 unit per play until we see where the Sniper System is strongest.

Indeed, it is time to move onto baseball.
Smart Stat plays for today.
CLE @ CWS Under 7.5
BOS @ TB Under 8
MIN @ KC Under 8
HOU @ SEA Under 7.5
STL @ WAS : I like WAS in this game. We have, The Raymond Report, SOS, PVI and Forecast all pointing towards WAS winning this game. We also have PVI and Teams % of winning this game lining up. Out of all the games only 3 games have PVI and % of winning both lining up. Doesn’t happen as much as you would think. Just another duck in a row.
Finally we have 2 slaughter plays for today.
BAL @ TOR : TOR beat BAL 13-6 yesterday and qualify today. I don’t like Sanchaz pitching for TOR but it is what it is. These 2 teams have a HATE on for each other going back to there series in BAL.
OAK @ LAA : LAA beat OAK 14-1 yesterday and qualify today.
Well That is it. Pick your poison as they say.

What do you mean by “% of winning”?

Ok so we have STL @’WAS. STL PVI is 33. WAS PVI is 42. Now go to the Raymond Report. Call up this game. Look for the road and home teams % of winning this game. So STL’s % of winning that game is 47%. WAS’s % of winning that game is 50%. So now we have 33 and 47 for STL and 42 and 50 for WAS. 42 is higher than 33. 50 is higher than 47. So WAS has the higher PVI and % of winning that game.
It doesn’t always line up!! Out of all the games today this only happens for 3 games. BAL, WAS and MIL. It’s just another duck in a row. The more ducks in a row the better. It won’t stop me from betting the other team but when it happens on the team I am betting on, the better it is. I have no record for this but I have noticed these occurrence’s tend to win.

Tonight BAL has SOS and % which is a good thing except TOR is a “Slaughter” play so I played TOR.
The CWS game stayed under 7.5 runs. Thank you Smart Stats. Now in reality Smart Stats generally does not work for baseball. Maybe this is the year.

Here is something to consider for baseball. It’s from RR’s 50 sports betting secrets.
Get Away Day in Baseball (Afternoon Game): Here’s what you’re looking for on a get away day in baseball. Look for a road team in their last game of a series who’s finally heading home after a long road trip. Play the UNDER in this situation. Typically, when a team has been on the road and it’s either a Monday or Wednesday afternoon game, they tend to play quickly to get back home to their families. Sometimes, they will also have a quick plane to catch and the last thing they want is extra innings.

Speaking about CLE. I would look to bet against CLE on April 27. They will be playing at home but only after returning home after a 10 day road trip.
KC @ CLE. : KC will have just wrapped up a 4 game series with CWS and travel to CLE. If it is a short line I will play it.

OAKLAND has a Stars rating of 49. This is the highest we’ve ever seen.
That said:
Stars in the 20s are 2-2
Stars in the 30s are 0-2 so far this season.
So “more stars not necessarily the merrier.”
I’m curious to know what just the Smart Stats stars would say in terms of ATS but I don’t have time to track them as well.

I jumped on MIL earlier this afternoon. They had the better pitcher going and had SOS, PVI and Forecast going for them as well.
3 Smart Stat plays for today. I might just play the MIA game.
NYM @ MIA Over 7.5 **
SEA @ TEX Under 7.5
PHI @ STL Under 7

WAS @ ATL Under 7 runs.

Remember that KC win over CLE after CLE just came home after a 10 game road trip. KC crushed CLE. Well that got me to thinking. How many times does this situation happen in the month of May?
I will tell you… It happens 9 times in the month of May!! That is a team coming home after a 6-10 game road trip and are now playing at home with no rest vs a team that has played a relatively easy schedule.
There are 10 more games where a team comes home after an 8, 9 or 10 game road trip. Most of all of these games involve travel and it ends up being almost 2 full weeks on the road.
We should bet against these home teams!!!
I have it all written down in front of me. It’s to hard to type this info using my iPAD. I will type it up tomorrow with a proper keyboard.
Always thinking ahead. Until the database clicks in… We should consider travel and scheduling. I mean at least it is something.

I eliminated several games because not only is the home team coming off a long road trip so is the visiting team. No advantage there.
Technically we should only bet the games where the home team does not have a day off before they have to play again. The other 10 games, the home team has a day off then they play.

Yes, we’ve found a couple +60% bangers here.
No, we don’t expect them to maintain through the whole season.
If we can find a few that work well for the next 6-8 weeks before parity taking them over, then we can bet those in the 2017 season with some confidence. I say 2017 because this is FRESH POWDER.
NBA was predicted, and then confirmed this year. So next year, we will do the exact same thing at the same time of season, with confidence, betting whole units.
Next year with MLB, we will confirm what appeared to work this season, and then in 2017 we’ll POUND Vegas for all it’s worth.

So I went back and checked every teams schedule for the month of May.
Instead of 9 occurrences whereby home teams coming back after a long road trip, with no rest, there is actually 11. I also eliminated 1 game. That makes 17 possible plays in the month of May. 11 games (teams) playing at home with no rest and 6 games (teams) playing at home after a long road trip with 1 days rest.

I figured I would throw this in. It is from RR’s 50 Sports Betting Secrets book. It helps explain things. Not all games I am talking about are West coast to East coast travel games… But almost 2 weeks on the road logging 1000’s of miles in the air still takes it’s toll.
Bet against Home Teams off a Long Road Trip: Here’s one of those biorhythms type go-against plays, where you want to take advantage of a team’s fatigue. If you have a team on a West or East coast road trip of 5 games or more, there’s a good chance that team will be away from home for 8 or more days. Once back home, they take care of family responsibilities; they are out of their daily home routine and fatigue sets in, especially if they are coming off a different time zone. Consider this tip for betting on baseball, hockey and basketball. It’s also known as “Weak Knees Syndrome”. Think about it, it will come to you!

Well Smart Stats goes 0-3 last night. Just for record purposes. Record 9-12-2
“Slaughter” plays goes a perfect 2-0 last night. Record 10-4-1
For Sat we have 2 more “Slaughter” plays. A tad pricey for both games.
ARI @ LAD : LAD -1.50
COL @ SDP : SDP -1.40
Now at this point, I wonder if these prices are a trap? Makes sense. Maybe watch these lines all day and then decide.

Do we dare go against “Slaughter” plays for today. PVI is bound to catch up.
Are we that Smart? Later today we should scrutinize the database! See what it has to say.
Now what to cook for dinner tonight. I am thinking… Meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes?

The SDP game could be a trap, yes.
Anytime we see the action increase with the favorite, and the line move AGAINST the favourite, we are 1-0 in calling this situation a trap line so far this season.

Well I can’t lay that kind of juice. -1.45 and -1.60 and I can’t go against these “Slaughter” plays. So…
I decided to bet 3 Way laying -1 run with both plays and hope the game isn’t tied after 9 innings.
SDP -1 run +1.65
LAD -1 run +1.40

Befor I forget about sports for today… We have 2 “Slaughter” plays for Sunday.
PHI @ MIA. : MIA -1.80
SEA @ HOU. : HOU -1.05
So once again we have “Slaughter” play that is too expensive. Instead of laying -1.80 I decided to bet 3 Way on this game. MIA -1 run +1.15
I bet HOU straight up, small line.
Almost bed time. lol. lol.

I don’t think we need to confirm slaughter players any more than they already are.
Slaughter plays are OFFICIALLY a platinum mine here in the Klondike.
Could you one more time describe exactly which variation of the system you’re using? It deserves a bold font writeup.
Are you following it verbatim or do you have a variation/filter?
“In this system, watch out for home teams who have won by 7 points or more.”
That simple?

Does the Slaughter Play still count if it’s a separate series or has it only been against the same team?

So here is the original tip as posted in RR’s 50 sports betting secrets.
Daytona’s Baseball Slaughter Plays: Back in the day when I had my sports betting forum up, we had a sports bettor from New Jersey name Daytona who use to keep track of what was known as his “Slaughter plays”. In this system, watch out for home teams who have won by 7 points or more. Play them in the following game. The system is based on playing a team who’s in an offensive hitting zone. In fact, I ran this system on my database and realized that the Yankees are hitting 74%. During the last 5 years, when the NY YANKEES play as a home team and have won the last game by 7 runs or more, they are 40-14 SU in the next game.
Basically I just look for a home team that wins by 7 or more runs and are playing at home their very next game. Bet them!!

Looks like we might split these 2 “Slaughter” plays. I am cool with that
Now let’s not forget about our “No Rest” plays for tomorrow.
May 4. Bet against TOR @ home vs NYY. TOR is coming off a 10 game road trip with no rest.
May 4. Bet against WAS @ home vs MIA. WAS is coming off a 10 game road trip with no rest.
We have never tracked this but it makes sense. 1 play for MAY 5th and 2 on May 8th.

Well MIN qualifies as a “Slaughter” play on Monday. They beat the CWS 3-13 and are playing at home tomorrow vs OAK. OAK travels from Texas.
At some point these things have to even out. We both know this Sniper. Still it’s been a good ride.

Slaughter plays are about 75% right now. That’s probably a touch above parity, but I don’t think it’s way above.
This consideration is probably platinum so I expect more of the same over the long run. That doesn’t mean that it can’t be 5 straight losses…but ANY system will have 5 straight one way or another…but I think that in the long run, we have some real money right here.

2 Smart Stat plays for Mon night.
NYY @ TOR Under 9 runs.
CHC @ STL Under 7 runs.
I did not play them. I am happy with the 1 “Slaughter” play and the 2 “No Rest” plays and the Under in the NBA CHI @ CLE Under 194.
It’s funny how that game was displayed on yesterday’s database and not today. It showed really good reasons to back the under tonight!!

Not sure why that is. I know that often as a line changes live, it will validate/invalidate prior stats that it sorts.

Forum time is now fixed and there should be 100 posts per page.
Also, instead of “including/not including today’s games”, all I do is I make sure that I put the tallies in BOLD, and then I make my picks in a single post after that. That way I know that anything AFTER the bold is not yet tallied (today’s games).
